這是Eminem有史以來情緒張力最強的一張嘻哈大碟，全新創作專輯【Recovery】。 負責打頭陣的首支主打單曲"Not Afraid"在充滿戲劇張力的節奏中展現Eminem全新的嘻哈風格，發行後銳不可擋的空降全美熱門單曲榜冠軍，成為繼Puff Diddy的"I`ll Be Missing You"之後，第2首締造空降全美熱門單曲榜冠軍的嘻哈歌曲。新專輯還破天荒邀請了兩位當紅女歌手跨刀獻唱，包括與新世代動感“娜妹”Rihanna合作"Love The Way You Lie"，與葛萊美獎得主P!nk合作"Won"t Back Down"。
相對於之前每次最先發行的單曲的詼諧惡搞風，這次的"Not Afraid"卻是一首嚴肅的自省風格，面對他自己的戒除藥癮問題，專輯名稱取名為【Recovery】絕非無道理。歌詞中提到：“And I just can’t keep living this way. So starting today, I’m breaking out of this cage. Imma standing up, I face my demons.I’m manning up, Imma hold my ground.I’ve had enough, now I’m so fed up,” Eminem似乎想好好展現出自我超越自我的內心世界，這首最新發表的單曲"Not Afraid"唱述他的人生、他的心魔，如何看待以前的自我然後反省自後如何超越，衝擊性的配樂唱出“I’m not afraid to take a stand, Everybody come take my hand, We’ll walk this road together, through the storm, Whatever weather, cold or warm, Just lettin’ you know that, you’re not alone, Holla if you feel that you’ve been down the same road, ” EMINEMN想讓所有跟他有同樣生活經驗的人們知道他們並不孤單。
